Nigerian Dwarf Goats

The Nigerian Dwarf is a miniature goat of West African origin. The breed is similar to Pygmy goats, but they are two different distinct breeds. Nigerian Dwarfs are bred to have the length of body and structure in proportion to a dairy goat.

Nigerian dwarf goats are raised for milk production, but also as pets. They are friendly, lovable, and can thrive in almost any climate. Their playful nature makes them good companions for children.

Their size means they do not require as much speed or feed as larger dairy goat breeds. The available doe produces up to two quarts of milk per day. The butterfat percent is between 6-10%.
